About the role#
Dematic is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to support customer projects and learn about different areas of mechanical engineering within the company. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Support modernization and upgrades on existing material handling systems.
- Perform site audits to collect necessary data.
- Assist with the installation of mechanical upgrades.
- Create detailed layouts and documentation for modernization scopes.
- Manage purchase requests and parts order entry.
- Ensure new equipment is built to specification.
- Provide technical support to the estimating, sales, engineering, and field operations teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD design software, specifically AutoCAD.
- Ability to solve complex design issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Familiarity with computer systems and technologies.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to learn how to maintain and repair material handling systems.

- Locations: Henrietta, New York and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour.
