About the role#
Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to gain experience across various mechanical engineering functions while supporting active customer projects. This is a full-time, paid, rolling co-op position.
What you'll do#
- Support modernization and upgrades for existing material handling systems.
- Conduct site audits to gather necessary project data.
- Assist with the installation of mechanical upgrades.
- Develop detailed layouts and technical documentation for modernization projects.
- Manage administrative tasks including creating purchase requests and parts order entries.
- Ensure new equipment is built according to project specifications.
- Provide technical support to internal teams including estimating, sales, engineering, and field operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD design software, specifically AutoCAD.
- Ability to solve complex design challenges and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Familiarity with computer systems and general technology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to learn the maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in either Henrietta, New York, or Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- The estimated pay range for this role is $20.00 to $29.00 per hour.
