About the role#
Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to support customer projects and learn various aspects of mechanical engineering within the organization. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Support modernization and upgrades for existing material handling systems.
- Perform site audits to collect necessary data.
- Assist with the installation of mechanical upgrades.
- Provide detailed layouts and documentation for modernization scopes.
- Create purchase requests and handle parts order entry.
- Ensure new equipment is built to specification.
- Provide technical support for estimating, sales, engineering, and field operations teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD design software, including AutoCAD.
- Ability to solve complex design issues and implement cost-efficient solutions.
- Familiarity with computer systems and technologies.
- Ability to learn how to maintain and repair material handling systems.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.

- Locations: Henrietta, New York, and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour.
