PRN Patient Intake Specialist I (High School Student Position)

About the role#

As a PRN Patient Intake Specialist I, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is designed for high school students interested in gaining experience within the healthcare field. You will act as an ambassador for the organization, focusing on providing a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience for everyone who enters the facility.

What you'll do#

• Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Collect payments in accordance with established procedures.
• Direct and escort patients to appropriate locations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• Completion of High School or GED.
• Knowledge of the health care revenue cycle is preferred.
• Understanding of insurance is a plus.
