About the role#
David Zwirner is seeking a motivated Art Fair Intern to support the gallery's participation in global art fairs. This position provides hands-on experience with the daily operations of a contemporary art gallery and the logistics involved in international exhibition programming.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the construction of art fair booths and the creation of artwork scale models.
- Create and print wall labels for all works featured in art fair booths.
- Manage the logistics of office supplies, including gathering, packing, and unpacking materials for shipments.
- Perform general maintenance and organization of art fair supplies and materials.
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Photoshop.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
- A high level of organization and time management skills.
- Genuine interest in contemporary art and the gallery’s program.
- Experience with SketchUp is considered a plus.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Art, Graphic Design, Media Studies, Communications, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (approximately September 14th to December 18th).
- Schedule: 10 AM – 6 PM, 2 to 3 days per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at $17/hour.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. Note that no lodging or commuting expenses are provided.
