About the role#
The Purchasing Intern program provides hands-on experience in the homebuilding process. You will work within a primary department to gain exposure to professional operations. The program includes departmental rotations, project work, research, and administrative support. You will observe field activities and learn company systems to understand how different functions support our business goals.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations across office, field, or jobsite locations.
- Assist with department-specific projects, reporting, and coordination tasks.
- Learn industry terminology, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments.
- Participate in training programs, meetings, and various learning opportunities.
- Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
- Explore career paths within the company for potential future employment.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering your junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Operations Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in homebuilding, financial services, land development, or corporate operations.
- Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and ask questions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to work overtime and travel, including occasional overnight trips, as needed.
- Candidates pursuing an advanced degree may be considered.

- Term: Summer 2027.
