About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience and professional development within the homebuilding and homebuying process. You will work within the Sales department to gain exposure to daily business operations, departmental rotations, and project work. The program is designed to help you explore career opportunities at D.R. Horton while you contribute to our team goals.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations across departments, offices, or field locations.
- Assist with research, reporting, administrative tasks, and coordination efforts.
- Learn industry terminology, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments.
- Participate in training programs, meetings, and departmental rotations.
- Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
- Travel as needed, including occasional overnight trips, and work overtime when required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university as a junior or senior, or recent graduation.
- Coursework or a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn new software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and adapt to varying work environments.
- Candidates pursuing an advanced degree are eligible to apply.
