About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the purchasing department. You will gain exposure to the homebuilding process through project work, research, and administrative support. The program includes departmental rotations, training sessions, and opportunities to observe operations in both office and field settings.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations and assist with department-specific projects and reporting.
- Learn and apply industry terminology, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand how various areas support business operations.
- Participate in training programs, meetings, and rotations to explore potential career paths.
- Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
- Travel as needed, including occasional overnight trips, and work overtime when required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university, entering your junior or senior year, or recent graduation.
- Coursework or a degree in business, finance, marketing, communications, operations management, or other relevant fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and adapt to different work environments.
- Candidates pursuing an advanced degree are also eligible.
