About the role#
This Summer 2027 Marketing Internship offers hands-on experience within the homebuilding industry. You will gain exposure to professional operations, departmental rotations, and the overall homebuying process. The program focuses on project work, research, and administrative support to help you explore career paths within D.R. Horton.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations across the office, field locations, or jobsites.
- Assist with department-specific projects, reporting, and coordination efforts.
- Learn industry terminology, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand business operations.
- Participate in training programs, meetings, and departmental rotations.
- Conduct business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
- Travel for business needs, including occasional overnight trips, and work overtime when required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university, entering your junior or senior year, or a recent graduate.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Operations Management, or related fields.
- Interest in learning about homebuilding, financial services, land development, or corporate operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and adapt to different work environments.
- Candidates pursuing an advanced degree may also be considered.
