About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in the homebuilding and land development process. You will work within the Land department to gain professional exposure through project work, research, and daily operations. The program includes departmental rotations and training to help you explore career paths at D.R. Horton.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations in office or field locations.
- Assist with research, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Learn industry terminology, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments.
- Participate in meetings and training programs.
- Work overtime and travel as needed, including occasional overnight trips.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university, entering your junior or senior year, or recent graduation.
- Degree pursuit in business, finance, marketing, communications, operations management, real estate, computer science, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and ask questions.
- Candidates pursuing advanced degrees may also be considered.
