About the role#
The Construction Intern program provides hands-on experience and professional development within the homebuilding process. You will be assigned to a primary department or functional area to gain exposure to daily operations, research, reporting, and administrative support. This role involves participating in training, jobsite observations, and departmental rotations to help you explore career paths within the company.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations at your assigned office, jobsite, or field location.
- Assist with projects, coordination efforts, and business processes.
- Learn industry terminology, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand how different areas support the customer experience.
- Participate in meetings and training programs.
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
- Work overtime or travel, including occasional overnight trips, as required by business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university, entering your junior or senior year, or recent graduation.
- Degree or coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or Operations Management.
- Interest in learning about homebuilding, financial services, land development, or corporate operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and adapt to different work settings.
- Candidates pursuing an advanced degree may also be considered.

- Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site, remote, or hybrid, depending on the assignment.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
