About the role#
This 11-week summer internship focuses on the Northeast Provider Network organization. You will gain experience in how healthcare organizations manage provider relationships, network performance, and value-based care arrangements. The program runs from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $26.
What you'll do#
- Support provider contract management and negotiation through research, analysis, and documentation.
- Coordinate timelines, milestones, and strategic initiatives to build project management skills.
- Develop executive-ready reports, presentations, and business updates for leadership.
- Create and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms for business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network priorities and operational objectives.
- Participate in governance and Joint Operating Committee activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Engage in professional development workshops, community service, and mentorship opportunities while interacting with senior leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and June 2028.
- Major in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, sports, or projects.
- Internship, work, or project experience in a related field.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in provider network management, healthcare operations, or business strategy.
- Interest in obtaining a full-time position with CVS Health upon graduation.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Hartford, Connecticut.
- You will work in the office three days per week, typically Tuesday through Thursday, with two days of remote work.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
