Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice to prepare for a future role as a Pharmacist. Under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, quality assurance, and professional standards while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Learn to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks, as permitted by law.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Deliver additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by required training.
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures across workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Maintain flexibility for scheduling needs and support operations across the market as needed.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state guidelines.
• Ability to perform essential physical functions, including standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to use mathematical reasoning for prescription fulfillment.
