Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition from your didactic pharmacy education into real-world practice. This role is designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist position by immersing you in retail pharmacy operations. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, focusing on store, district, and regional operations.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly and that prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions, including handling patient questions and providing information on medical history when appropriate.
• Support immunization services by educating patients, obtaining informed consent, and administering vaccines where permitted by law and supported by required training.
• Maintain compliance with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), federal and state laws, and ethical principles regarding patient safety and privacy.
• Complete inventory activities such as processing medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
• Strong attention to detail, mathematical reasoning skills for prescription calculations, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
