About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and professional standards while you prepare for a future Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering our brand promise while following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with daily workflow procedures, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering empathetic care and fielding medical questions under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members to share best practices.
- Manage basic inventory activities such as cycle counts and returns.
- Deliver patient health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing, provided you maintain the necessary licensure and training.
- Travel to various store locations within the market to support business needs as required.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 1+ years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting is preferred.
