About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition from pharmacy school into real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to support pharmacy operations, ensure patient safety, and maintain professional standards. This role requires a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt to the needs of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering on the company brand promise.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes where allowed by state regulation.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts and returns.
- Deliver patient health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Educate patients about vaccines, obtain informed consent, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and controlled substance dispensing.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the program.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or in the process of obtaining one.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, pivot between duties, and confirm prescription accuracy.
- Mathematical skills for tasks like calculating dosage and day supply.
- Ability to identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

- Employment: Part-time.
- Pay Range: $23.75 - $42.00 per hour.
- Travel: Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market as needed.
