Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play a critical role in patient care, ensuring a safe and effective environment while gaining professional experience in pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and display empathy and compassion for customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Manage patient care programs and facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Assist with inventory management and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with state guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning and bagging items, and moving objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to remain upright for extended periods and perform physical movements such as reaching, stooping, and lifting.
