Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and contributing to health care improvement initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Ensure patient safety and maintain professional pharmacy practice standards.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
• Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Align team members around the purpose of improving health care outcomes.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Assist with regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and bending.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
