Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

This Summer 2026 Pharmacy Intern position offers an opportunity for pharmacy students to apply their academic learning to real-world practice. Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to build clinical and operational skills. You will assist the pharmacy team in ensuring that operations run smoothly and that prescriptions are filled accurately and safely while providing patient care that exceeds expectations.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment to ensure prompt and accurate service.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care during interactions.
• Deliver health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by training.
• Educate patients on the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination-related questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and returns, as directed by pharmacy leadership.
• Follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow protocols at all workstations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Ability to maintain focus on tasks over extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.
• A friendly, service-oriented approach to helping others.
