About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a pharmacist. You will gain experience in store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap and key learning experiences.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Assist the team in maintaining smooth pharmacy operations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by providing empathetic care and answering medical questions under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to pharmacy team members.
- Handle basic inventory tasks such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.

- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
