About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position involves working directly with pharmacy teams to ensure operations run smoothly while gaining exposure to store, district, and regional workflows.
What you'll do#
- Support the pharmacy team in filling prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow standard operating procedures at every workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing compassionate care.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Deliver health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law.
- Complete inventory activities, including cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing deliveries.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members as you gain experience.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.

- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
