About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients, managing pharmacy workflows, and supporting the team in daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow.
- Support patient safety and quality assurance initiatives.
- Follow regulatory requirements and pharmacy professional practices.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to improve outcomes and foster a positive culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Immunization eligibility.
