About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients, managing patient care programs, and supporting pharmacy operations. This part-time position offers an opportunity to gain professional experience in a clinical setting while contributing to patient health.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to every patient and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Collaborate with the team to find new ways to grow and improve outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and bending.
- Close visual acuity for tasks like transcribing and viewing terminals.
