Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice under the direction of a preceptor. This program is designed to help you develop clinical and operational skills in preparation for a future career as a Pharmacist. You will gain hands-on experience through a structured training roadmap, working alongside pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient service.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Provide caring service to patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone, creating personalized experiences.
• Perform inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts, and managing returns-to-stock.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Strong focus and the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
• A friendly, service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to help others.
