About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences to prepare for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position involves working under the direction of a preceptor to gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures for prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences with empathy and care.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and cycle counts.
- Deliver additional patient services, including immunizations, where allowable by law.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse vaccination reactions.
- Review and collect patient information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.

- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
