Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while assisting with patient care programs and daily operations.

What you'll do#

• Manage patient care programs to support customer health and wellness.
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Foster a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and professional pride.
• Participate in pharmacy workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
• Complete all required training within state-mandated guidelines and timeframes.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
