Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing patient care programs, and contributing to overall pharmacy operations, including inventory and workflow management.

What you'll do#

• Manage and promote the adoption of patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for growth and improved health outcomes.
• Foster a team culture centered on caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Align team members with the goal of providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.
• Complete all required training and maintain necessary licensure within state guidelines.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
