About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This role focuses on professional practice, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs and support inventory and workflow tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
- Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate empathy for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver outcomes and foster a culture of energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Complete required training and maintain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain information to customers and colleagues.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
