About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world practice under the direction of a preceptor. This role is designed to help you transition into a Pharmacist position by providing hands-on experience with pharmacy operations, including store, district, and regional workflows. You will work as part of a team to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient prescription fulfillment while developing your clinical and technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly and accurately.
- Follow standard pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Provide caring service to patients, demonstrating empathy and genuine care in all interactions.
- Educate patients on the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination-related questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock, as permitted by law.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment while adhering to all company policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or active progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, with the flexibility to work nights and weekends.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to prescription dispensing.

- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $20.75 - $25.25 per hour.
