Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience while contributing to patient care, inventory management, and workflow efficiency. You will be expected to model company values, demonstrate empathy for patients and colleagues, and actively participate in team-based health initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Provide exceptional customer service and patient care while managing pharmacy workflows.
• Support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance standards.
• Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to achieve positive patient outcomes and maintain a culture of enthusiasm and pride.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Assist with inventory management and other operational tasks as directed by your supervisor.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated guidelines and timeframes.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
