About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will deliver care to patients while gaining professional experience. This position requires you to model empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and your colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and maintain pharmacy professional practice standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Handle inventory and maintain regulatory requirements.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Facilitate a positive team culture and collaborate with others to deliver results.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.

- This position is located in Huntington Station, New York.
- The role is part-time and on-site.
- You must complete all required training within state guidelines and the specified timeframe.
