Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a significant role in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team in providing quality health services.

What you'll do#

• Support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance within the pharmacy.
• Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver better health outcomes and facilitate a culture of enthusiasm and pride.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, scanning items, and remaining mobile for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
