Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and supporting patient health through the adoption and management of care programs.

What you'll do#

• Support patient health by managing patient care programs and providing guidance on prescriptions and chronic conditions.
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the team to improve outcomes and facilitate a culture of energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state guidelines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
