About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of exceptional patient care. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy program to gain professional experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, effective environment while assisting with daily pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and maintain regulatory compliance within the pharmacy.
- Assist with quality assurance, inventory management, and workflow processes.
- Provide excellent customer service and support patient care programs.
- Participate in required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
- Once state regulations are met, work toward providing patient immunizations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and reaching or stooping to manage inventory.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
