Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to prepare for a future Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to provide hands-on experience with pharmacy operations, store workflows, and district-level activities. This role focuses on supporting the pharmacy team to ensure patient safety and operational excellence while developing your professional skills.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service.
• Operate as part of the pharmacy team by applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication.
• Perform basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts, and managing returns-to-stock.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional ethical principles.
• Maintain flexibility for scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to other stores in the market as required.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.

What you'll need#

• Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
