Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering exceptional care to patients. This position involves managing pharmacy operations, supporting patient health through care programs, and modeling company values of empathy and collaboration.

What you'll do#

• Deliver a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality assurance standards.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow.
• Lead patient care programs to support customer health and well-being.
• Model company values by displaying empathy, compassion, and collaboration with colleagues and patients.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state law.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including working nights and weekends.
• Majors in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Administration, Public Health, or Biology are relevant to this role.
