Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a significant role in delivering quality care, managing patient programs, and contributing to the overall health of patients and customers.

What you'll do#

• Provide exceptional care to patients, customers, and caregivers while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
• Manage patient care programs to support customer health and wellness.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver positive outcomes and maintain a culture of enthusiasm and pride.
• Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing precision control to handle pharmacy items.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
