Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide essential patient care in a retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, and managing patient care programs to improve health outcomes. You will be expected to model the company's values while delivering compassionate care to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and provide support for pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
• Manage patient care programs to help customers maintain their health.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and team members.
• Assist with inventory and workflow management.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
