About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice while preparing for a future role as a pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate, and prompt prescription fulfillment while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Provide counseling and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
What you'll need#
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.
- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another.
