About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will gain professional experience while supporting our pharmacy team. You will work under the supervision of a preceptor to provide patient care and assist with daily pharmacy operations. This role is designed to help you grow your clinical skills while contributing to the health and well-being of our patients.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all aspects of the prescription filling process.
- Provide patient counseling and assist customers with their questions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Offer health screenings and immunizations when appropriate.
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy inventory.
- Adopt and participate in patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Motivate your team and contribute to a positive, energetic culture.
- Identify business opportunities and support the implementation of solutions to achieve team goals.
- Adapt to changes in the pharmacy environment and stay current on new training and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of California.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
