About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position allows you to gain professional experience while contributing to our goal of improving health care access and quality.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Support inventory and workflow management.
- Help manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to foster a positive culture.
- Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations and eligibility requirements are met.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring precision, reaching, and stooping.
