Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting patient health through the adoption of care programs.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care and support to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Lead with empathy and compassion in all patient interactions.
• Promote a team culture that encourages energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Implement and manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
• Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and precision handling of pharmacy items.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and specified timeframes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

• Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
