Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic pharmacy education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position involves gaining hands-on experience across store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and follow standard procedures for safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Create personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Support telephonic prescription processing and clarify prescriptions with prescribers.
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand your clinical and technical knowledge.
• Maintain focus on tasks and pivot quickly between pharmacy workstations as needed.
• Where permissible, support immunizations, educate patients on vaccine importance, and document patient information.

What you'll need#

• Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on tasks.
• Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs.

• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time with rolling terms.
• Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is required, including nights and weekends.
