Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide essential patient care and support pharmacy operations. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service, ensuring a safe work environment, and contributing to patient health through the management of care programs.

What you'll do#

• Provide compassionate care to patients, customers, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver positive health outcomes.
• Support a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and professional pride.
• Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
• Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing precision and dexterity for pharmacy tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state law.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
