Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team in providing quality health services.

What you'll do#

• Support patient health through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and workflow processes.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging, and moving items, as well as maintaining a standing position for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated guidelines.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
