Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic pharmacy school education into real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to provide hands-on experience with pharmacy operations. This role is focused on preparing you for increasing responsibilities and a future Pharmacist role.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to maintain effective pharmacy workflows.
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) to build aptitude in safety and operational effectiveness.
• Provide caring service to patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone, creating personalized moments and demonstrating empathy.
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, and ethical principles.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Strong ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
