About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care within a retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on ensuring a safe and effective environment while managing patient care programs to help customers maintain their health. You will contribute to a team culture that emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and quality service.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional patient care and support under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes enthusiasm, pride, and caring.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and reaching or bending to manage inventory.
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
