Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and maintain a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on helping patients manage chronic and specialty conditions while supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations. This is a part-time, paid internship opportunity for Summer 2026.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional patient care and support the adoption and management of patient care programs.
• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment by assisting with inventory, workflow, and quality assurance.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Foster a caring team culture that promotes energy and enthusiasm.
• Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines and timeframes.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging, and lifting up to 20 lbs, as well as maintaining mobility for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
