Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while assisting with patient safety, professional practice, and workflow management. You will play an active part in helping patients manage their health through the adoption of patient care programs.

• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.

• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Support patient health through the management of patient care programs.
• Assist with patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver better outcomes and align with company health goals.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing fine motor skills for pharmacy operations.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as required.

• Location: Wichita, Kansas.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Part-time.
• Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
