Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic pharmacy education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while you gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

What you'll do#

• Support pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on the brand promise while developing clinical and technical skills.
• Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly by assisting with accurate and timely prescription fulfillment.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Provide patient health care services, including immunizations, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset, remaining receptive to feedback, and demonstrating empathy in all patient interactions.
• Operate across various pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off, following standard operating procedures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or active pursuit of, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
• Commitment to completing all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Experience in customer service with a focus on helping others.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
