Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting the daily needs of the pharmacy team.

What you'll do#

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing compassionate care.
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy while managing prescription information and label accuracy.
• Assist with inventory activities, such as cycle counts and restocking, as permitted by law.

What you'll need#

• Must be accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
• Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

• Employment Type: Part-time.
• Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
