About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the pharmacy team. You contribute to a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience. This is a part-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Manage pharmacy workflows, excluding final prescription verification.
- Assist in the implementation and management of patient care programs.
- Provide immunizations to patients once you meet state regulations.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and caregivers.
- Maintain inventory and follow regulatory requirements for pharmacy practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
