Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world practice under the direction of a preceptor. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations, developing professional skills, and preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) and hands-on activities to gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at every workstation.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, genuine care, and effective communication.
• Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by required training.
• Maintain flexibility to meet business needs, including potential travel to other store locations within the market.

What you'll need#

• Current acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
• Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business demands.
